During my time in the Oklahoma Senate, I voted for the rights of the unborn 100% of the time. As a father who believes in a Judean-Christian worldview, I will emphatically protect the sanctity of lives who can’t speak for themselves. The Lord knit each of us together in our mother’s womb, and the unborn deserve the right to live.

 

Overturning Roe v Wade was a great moment in our history to reverse judicial fiat and send back to the individual states the proper right to address abortion.  I’m so grateful that here in Oklahoma, abortion has been almost eradicated. I’m grateful for the hundreds of people and organizations that give a great deal of time and energy to help women deal with unwanted pregnancies and the challenges of raising a newborn.

 

I will work tirelessly with our legislature to bring clarity and strength to state statute that continues to be challenged by the Oklahoma Supreme Court. We will apply pressure on the Legislature to advance new language that most common sense conservatives favor – the elimination of abortion after 6 weeks with protections for women in the case of life-threatening medical problems.
