As long as we have personal property taxes, no one truly owns their home. Even if you own your home outright, one delinquent tax bill gives the government the power to take your house away. That means we are all essentially renting from the government.

I am developing a comprehensive plan to phase out property taxes statewide, starting with low-income senior citizens. But that’s just the beginning.

As Oklahoma’s Governor, I will fight relentlessly for a total repeal of all personal property taxes. We deserve a government that encourages investment -- not one that punishes people for owning a home.
